Professor W. C. Solomon Hydrogen Liquifier Building (Bldg. 204) 217-333-8480

Description of Research:

Directed by Professor W. C. Solomon. The lab is being used for research with high energy laser systems. The research is presently centered on the development of new Electrically enhanced Oxygen-Iodine Lasers (ElectricOIL) as well as some research in advanced Chemical Oxygen-Iodine Laser (COIL) technologies. Experimental and numerical experiments are providing the leading research for such lasers in the U.S. Fundamental measurements are being used to further our knowledge of the behavior of new systems.
