Stanley O. Ikenberry, Interim President for the University of Illinois, urges alumni and University friends living in Illinois to visit, call or email their elected officials, urging them to resolve the state’s financial crisis and pay the appropriation the University is due.

According to Ikenberry, "To date, the University has received only 17% of the funds appropriated to it by the Illinois General Assembly. This is not a reflection of the state’s support for the University, but instead is a result of the state’s cash crisis. As of today, we have roughly $431 million in unpaid vouchers from the state of Illinois."
